What happened to Mega Frenzy?
Mega Frenzy closed on April 30, 2026, about a year after it opened. In mid-April it emailed players that they could keep playing until that date, asked them to finish any redemptions before the deadline, and said that after it “all remaining Gold Coins and Sweepstakes Coins will expire.” The casino was run by Heuston Gaming Limited, a company registered in Ireland.
The email gave no detailed reason. Sweepsy, which first reported the closure, pointed to a shrinking market: California ended Sweeps Coin play, and Indiana and Maine banned sweepstakes casinos in 2026. Several small casinos closed in the same months; see the sweepstakes laws by state for where casinos are still open.
Can you still get your Mega Frenzy coins back?
No. Balances expired on April 30, 2026, under the casino’s own notice, and nobody else can restore them. If you asked for a redemption before the deadline and it never arrived, you still have a claim against the operator.
- 1.Write to Heuston Gaming Limited.Give your account email, the redemption date and the amount, and ask which rule blocked the payment.
- 2.Keep proof.Save the closure email, your redemption confirmation and any screenshots of your balance.
- 3.Complain if it stays unpaid.File with your state attorney general’s consumer protection office and with the Better Business Bureau.

Is megafrenzy.com the old casino?
No. megafrenzy.com is an independent site that compares US sweepstakes casinos. We bought the domain at a domain name auction after the casino closed, we have no connection to its former team, and we cannot open, close or restore Mega Frenzy accounts. We rate casinos with the same checks for every brand, explained in how we rate casinos, and we may earn a commission from some of them, as our advertising disclosure explains.
