How We Rate Sweepstakes Casinos

Every casino on our list gets a Frenzy Score out of 10. We study each brand in detail, score it on six weighted checks and compare it with all 216 casinos we track, so a 9.0 means the same thing everywhere on the site. Payout speed counts most, and no casino can pay for a score or for what we say about it.

How we study each casino

  1. 1.Find out who runs it.The operator, how long the brand has been open, its sweepstakes rules and mail-in entry, the states it excludes and its minimum age.
  2. 2.Analyze the offer.Free Sweeps Coins at sign-up, the first-purchase pack, daily rewards, the minimum redemption, and how and how fast prizes are paid.
  3. 3.Look at the product. The games and the studios behind them, live dealer tables, payment methods, apps and support channels.
  4. 4.Read what players report.Trustpilot and app store ratings, and repeated complaints about payouts, ID checks or closed accounts.
  5. 5.Compare and score. Each check gets a mark out of 10, weighted as in the table below, and every brand is measured against the rest of the list.

What a score means

ScoreWhat to expect
9.0–10Our top picks: fast, reliable payouts, a real free bonus and a long record
8.0–8.9Strong casinos with one or two trade-offs, such as slower payouts or fewer states
7.0–7.9Fine for their free coins; read the terms before you buy a pack
Under 7.0Weak spots such as slow payouts, a short record or a small game library

How we pick the top 10

Our editors pick the top 10 from the highest scores and write a one-line verdict for each, naming the reason to choose it: payout speed, the free bonus, games or banking. When you pick your state, the list hides casinos that don’t accept you and renumbers the rest, so your top 10 is always one you can join.

How we keep the list current

We re-check bonuses, excluded states and payout terms every month and show the date at the top of each list. When a casino changes its terms, its score changes with them. When a casino closes or changes its name, it leaves the list and moves to our table of closed and renamed casinos, so the number of casinos we show counts only sites you can join today.

What we never do

  • Sell scores or opinions. A casino cannot pay for a higher score or a better review.
  • List closed casinos as open. Closed and renamed brands are shown separately, without bonuses or buttons.
  • Call a sweepstakes casino licensed. They are not licensed by state gaming regulators, and we say so.

How mail-in (AMOE) entries work

US sweepstakes law requires a free way to enter, so every sweepstakes casino accepts mail-in requests, also called an alternative method of entry (AMOE). You send a handwritten request by post, following the casino’s sweepstakes rules exactly, and each valid request adds free Sweeps Coins to your account, often 3–5 SC. The rules page lists the address, what to write and how often you can send one.

How we make money

Some casinos may pay us a commission when you sign up through our links. That money never changes a Frenzy Score or our opinion of a casino, and casinos that pay us nothing are rated the same way. Read our advertising disclosure.
